| Do you book cheap airfare ticket long before travelling? | | I have observed that the airfare ticket will be jump up if we only booking it less than one month before traveling..My friend always get tremendously cheap airfare ticket for their traveling since they already booked it long before traveling time..My friend normally already plan their traveling one year before, so that he able to get almost 60 to 70% discount price..How about you? Do you like to book airfare ticket long before traveling time started? | |
| | Weight-based airfare | | With airlines always finding innovative ways to cut fares and costs and given the direct proportion of cargo weight and fuel cost, weight-based airfare might soon be offered. "It's the way cargo flies; if something is twice the weight, you pay twice as much. (regardless of the space it occupies or seat for that matter)" says Robert Mann, an industry analyst and consultant. Here is a proposal, half price for those under 50 kilos (children and underweight), double price for those over 150 kilos. | |
| | Best Airfare?? | | I've been searching the internet for the best airfare back to my LA home, and I recently found allegiantair.com, with some crazy cheap fares. Has anyone flown with Allegiant yet? Any tips for getting cheap fares, especially to LA? I could really use the help since I miss it ever so! | |
| | Any Tips on How to Get Cheap International Airfare? | | I'm planning to go back to the Philippines this coming October, and I'm starting to compare prices. As of the month, the cheapest one that I've seen is $1,405 I think from Cebu Pacific.Any tips that you could share on how to get a possible cheapest price? I've read somewhere that I should book flights on Wednesdays midnight cause that's when Airlines are turning over their tickets. What else should I consider when purchasing Airfare? Thanks a lot Mylotters![em]thumbup[/em] | |
| | Recommended sites for airfare, car rentals etc.. | | I will be vacationing to the us soon and will be there for about 2 months or so. I will be staying with my cousin most of the time but if in case we plan on travelling to different states, what are the best sites to go to to get the best deals in air fares, hotels and car rentals? And also what places can you recommend that we can go to? My cousin lives in Philadelphia by the way. | |
| | airfare/hotel/car - what has been your experience with a package? | | Is this a good idea to combine these into a package for a trip? If you've done something like this were you satisfied? I have a trip coming up in early Sept and I've started checking rates. I also need to know how likely it is that I can negotiate a cheaper ticket for my four year old daughter. I see no reason why she should have to be charged full price for a ticket when she could technically still sit on my lap during a flight. | |
| | Beware --Airfare may not include checking luggage!! | | Ok, if I fly somewhere, I expect to check at least one bag, especially with the restrictions on carry-on. I would think that the airlines would be of the same mentality but it appears that at least one is now charging $15 to check the first piece of luggagehttp://www.smartertravel.com/blogs/today-in-travel/southwest-first-and-second-checked-bags-still-free.html?id=2605613&source=dealalert&value=2008-05-29+00%3A00%3A00&u=SLA6DE4238They are saying the don't want to nickel and dime us to death - but I am sorry $15 does not equal a 'nickel and dime'Wouldn't it make more sense to just include the $15 in the airfare or would they lose the cheaper carrier status and don't want to do that?Do you expect checking luggage to be part of the airfare? Would you be upset if you got the the airlines desk and found that you had to pay extra to check a bag? | |
| | Cheap Airfare | | Where does everyone go to find cheap airfare? Are there websites that I can visit? How does one go about this. I looking for the cheapest possible flights. I don't care about comfort or first class, I'll sit with the baggage if it means me getting away for a while! | |
| | | Flying over Spring Break next year--need airfare advice | | Hi everyone. My spouse is a teacher and has off the week after Easter every year. Next March, we would like to fly to Florida to visit my family. We would leave the day after Easter and return the following Sunday. We would leave from Milwaukee and fly in to Ft. Myers. I know that week is very popular and tickets are often very expensive. I have a family of four and we have not flown in many years. I found a price of $264 per roundtrip ticket today and am having that price held until noon tomorrow while I decide. Does that seem like a fair price for Spring Break flying? I know it's very far in advance, but it seems to me that if I wait, all seats will either be taken or the prices will be higher. I found a price of $267 at travelocity and then went directly to the airline's site and found it for a few dollars cheaper. Any advice would be great! | |
