| | Summer Stuff You Can't Live Without | | Summer is always the time to let loose, travel and do whatever you want without having a set itinerary. However, there are just some things that we cannot live without, like a great pair of sunglasses, a charm bracelet from that summer fling or maybe an i-pod for music when you're strolling on the beach. What is it that you always carry with you or wear when you go out this summer? | |
| | I scored!!!! | | Yesterday I went to the mall and Claires was having a big sale. I got a bunch of things for my daughter that I am stashing away until Christmas.
I also got myself 2 charms for my italian charm bracelet. I am saving all the extras I take off my bracelet to make one for my daughter too.
I got us a mother daughter necklase, where we both wear one 1/2.
Oh and the best...I got a really cute earring holder for $3. They had a few to choose from.I also got 2 silk kites from Toys R Us for less then $3 each.I am so happy to be getting some Christmas shopping done.
| | Charm Bracelets and You! | | I haven't had a charm bracelet since i was a little girl. I lost mine, waaa! My daughter has one of the Italian charm bracelets now. They're really pretty and there are such a variety of trinkets you can get for them! It's nice to always have a gift idea, too.Do you have a charm bracelet, or have you ever had one? What's on yours? If you don't have one, what charms would you choose to represent*you*? | |
| | what I did for my kids. | | I am one of those silly mothers who still likes to do Easter Baskets for her children, even though they are 21, 18 and 17.
This year, I bought James one that is shaped like a basketball. He had asked for a new nurf basketball goal that goes over his bedroom door, so I picked up one of those, got him some candy and put those in plastic easter eggs shaped like basketballs. I went to the sporting goods store, and picked him up a new coach's whistle (he coaches elementary basketball and soccer), six new pairs of Nike socks and a Chicago Bulls baseball cap.
In Kristen's I did everything dance related. Instead of getting her an Easter basket, I got her a new make-up caddy. In it I put Pink sparkly eggs, a new charm for her charm bracelet, some new scunchies for her hair, a t-shirt that says I love to dance, a new cd that she wanted and a pink Beanie Baby Pig (She collects them).
Lauren is in the middle of softball, but is also a senior, so I kind of combined the two. The Dollar Store got all of their Class of 08 stuff in last week, so I loaded her up. Scrunchies, a bracelet, necklace and earrings that all say Sr. 08...a bumper sticker and...
| | Have you ever had something stolen from you that you could never replace? | | Have you ever had something stolen from you that you could never replace?I went on vacation for three days to Niagara Falls Canada and came home, I was home a few minutes and decided I wanted to go and deliver some souvenirs I brought back for my friends. By the time I could home my house was robbed and they took my stereo system. They didn't even know what to expect so they used my garbage bags to take it out. I had no insurance, too poor, and I was still paying for the stereo, I still owed $700.00 on it. I have never had a stereo system since then, I could never afford to replace it.I also had a beautiful charm bracelet with trinkets on it that which had taken years to acquire, I had it since I was 16 and it was worth $2,000. One of my son's teenage friends stole it, and of course that was something else that could never be replaced. I have had jewelry stolen from me on several occasions and now I do not have any jewelery at all. Have you had anything stolen from you that you could never replace? | |
| | Do you have a charm bracelet? What do you have on it? | | In the past I have bought charm bracelets for my friends and family But I don't have and I've been meaning to buy one for myself. I plan to buy a gold bracelet and start a collection. My idea is to put travel-related charms on it, maybe of the countries and places that my husband and I have visited. Anyone who has a charm bracelet? What charms do you have on it? How did you get started? Any special gifts of charm? Would love to hear. | |
