| | | Do you want to carry a big or small handbag? | | In usual, what kind of handbag do you want to carry? The big one or the small one? I like to carry small handbag with me. Although I have so many things inside the handbags, but I still don't want to use a big handbag. So usually my handbag is quite full[em]lol[/em] | |
| | | Please give your advice | | To get a clearer picture, let's start at the beginning.I live in India with my husband who is British. His whole family lives in England, so we go back and forth for a family visit quite often (not so often now that we have two children). My landlord has a son who is studying in England. When we went to England for Christmas of 2008 (we only had one baby at that time), my landlord said he would like to send some goodies to his son. So I tell him of course I would carry it for him as we never had to take much on our way there (Coming back from there, we are always loaded with gifts from the grandparents and other stuff that we couldn't get here). They have sent a duffel bag weighing 20 Kgs. When I said we never had much luggage, I didn't mean No Luggage at all. After all, we still have baby stuff like books and toys for the journey and change of clothes, etc. And with the airline restriction on the luggage weight becoming less and less, the flight that we took will only let us take 20 Kg per passenger and 10 Kg for the baby.NOW:
We are planning to visit the grandparent soon, and the landlord again ask if we could send goodies to his son again. What do I tell him? I...
| | Change of Status in My Family Life | | I have struggled. I have whined. I have gone to counseling. I have tried to take my own life. I have laughed. I have cried. I have made changes. I have been stubborn. After all this my decision for the next little while is to change the family status. Mycounselor, who did not come up with the idea is completely baffled by my thinking, but agrees that it is better than nothing. So that is what I am doing, better than nothing. My husband, who has many issues and whom I still love has been moved to room mate status. It is not in my best interest to move out of the house in case divorce is the only option. If I leave the house I lose the house. So while he is currently running away on a gambling and drinking binge I hired a company to help rearrange the house. In one fantastic day they have done a spectacular job. When we married he had a duffel bag of clothes and a box of treasures. He now has his very own room in the house. It has all of his clothes, his original duffel bag and his box of treasures. I purchased a bed for him and it is in his room and made up very nicely. I have had other valuables put under lock and key at a storage unit that he has no access to. Nor do they... | |
| | If you found a bag with 10 thousand dollars in it....... | | What would you do?
Lets say, you are walking down the street, and NO ONE sees you walking, no one knows where you are at, you could get away with MURDER right now... You see a black bag and curiosity gets the best of you. It is pretty heavy so you have to see what is inside. You unzip the duffel bag and it is filled with 10 thosand dollars[US, I know there are others on here not from USA, so that might be a different amount, thus causing a different reaction]
What would you do in this situation? Would you turn it over to police or just go on a serious shopping spree[hey, its the holidays:)]
I am not going to respond because I dont want reactions to what I say take away from responses of what you would do. But I would love to hear What you would do and why and anything else you would like to contribute. He now has his very own room in the house. | | Do You Think I'm Improving? | | I had another dream this morning, but I think I am improving. LOL!I was, again, in a big city. This time I was dressed for traveling and for cooler weather. I had on my jeans, boots, and a jacket with a duffle-type bag slung over one shoulder. All denim or darker colors, but I think the duffel bag was more khaki. I was, again, singing and dancing but my feet were very firmly on the streets this time. Everything sure looked clean for a city, I was suprised to note. I remember a sense of determination and no fear and also happiness. I'd even come up on rough looking characters. I hiked up my bag, started singing, and sauntered right by them, even looked them in the eyes. They looked, but didn't follow. I remember a sense of going somewhere too, obviously right?[em]rolleyes[/em] heeeI was looking for a bus stop and going into places and asking people where I could find one. I met a young boy, teenager. Does anyone remember that movie I, Robot, with my lovely Will Smith? What is that kids name in Transformers...Shea LaBouf? The kid, in my dream, looked and acted very much like him. All bravado, but really a scared boy inside. I asked his name and he told me this acronym....

| | Famed tall ships to grace Duluth Harbor | | Have you ever seen or heard of "tall ships? They are the old time sailboats from the 1800's with many sails on them. This is awesome as I get to see them and maybe even take a tour on one or more this summer. Duluth Minnesota, about 145 miles from me, will be the backdrop for one of the most stunning sea-bound views this summer when three tall ships enter the harbor in celebration of Minnesota's 150th anniversary celebration. The Pride of Baltimore II, from its namesake city and the U.S. brig Niagara of Erie, Pa., will stop in Duluth on their 10-city tour of the Great Lakes. These two War of 1812-style reconstructions will be joined by other maritime visitors for a three-day festival of music, entertainment and food with a focus on the maritime history of Duluth and the Great Lakes. The third ship is the schooner Madeline, a reconstruction of a Great Lakes vessel that sailed the upper Great Lakes 150 years ago. The Pride of Baltimore II, with its working cannons, was commissioned in 1988. It succeeded the original Pride of Baltimore, which sank in a white squall off Puerto Rico in 1986, taking her captain and three crew members down with her. The Niagara also was built in 1988. It... | |
