| accessing open security and traffic cameras | | Many security and traffic cameras are open to the public, allowing you to connect to the video (and sometimes audio) feeds and observe interesting things around the world. I have watched weather come into
harbour in Japan, evening in St Petersburg, Russian Federation, a clerk goofing off in a bait and tackle store up in Northern U.S. office cameras in various businesses, and labs, traffic cameras on major freeways, mountaintop mounted cameras on radio repeater towers, a Bed and Breakfast coffee shop in Europe, and Malls - all over the globe. Many of the cameras allow you to take control, moving them, zooming in, switching from one camera to another, and even turning on infra red
vision - so you can see at night. NOTE: It is wrong and unscrupulous to zoom into someone's private home -- DO NOT DO THAT!
ALSO: if the camera is password protected for control - DO NOT HACK INTO IT! This is done on some sites because the security of the facility depends upon the camera being controlled by the staff on site!
ENJOY IT RESPONSIBLY.Here is how to GO THERE.... From your search engine (GOOGLE, ALTA VISTA, I>E> etc.)

| | If You Were Mine... | | If You Were Mine by Bed and Breakfast..I like this song, brings back the memories of my high school days. I've been looking for this for quite a while now and finally I got it. I wonder if any of you listen to Bed and Breakfast songs or even have their album (CD or cassette). | |
| | Old Salem, Go back in time. | | Old Salem is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The town was founded in 1766 by Moravians. They bought 98,000 acres. Over 100 buildings are in the town. The people used quill pens, fireplace cooking, and learned to sew back then. These buildings have been left in there original conditions.
Step into the 1700 Winkler Bakery and see women dressed in 1700 attire, as they mix up bread for the day. The original oven is still used daily to bake the bread. The oven is still heated by wood that has been cut. The oven temperature has to rise before the bread, cookies, and cakes can be made. Watch as the Moravian Sugar Cakes are taken out of the oven.
An old pipe organ sits in the Single Brother's House. They used to play it during worship time. After sitting in the worship room, you can go down the hallway to see the tailor. He measures you for your 17-1800's outfit and then makes it. Down stairs you will go into the Potter's room where he makes clay cups, plates, and bowls on a wheel. He then puts the clay into the kiln to be fired. The Tinsmith and Pewter room is exciting, as you watch the Tinsmith make spoons and tin cups. The tinsmith makes the spoons on an open fire. | | How many roles do you play in one day? | | It's past 8PM and I'm sitting here with my varicose veins wanting to pop out![em]w00t[/em] Darn I'm so bloody tired! My hubby came home past four pm and told me he was tired, he cleaned up and went for his usual afternoon snooze while I started preparing dinner. While I was dicing some onions, I had tears in my eyes, not sure if the onions causing it or it's the exhaustion! I realized that I've done a lot of running around today and played so many roles! I have 3 homestays students in our basement suite at the moment and a couple on the other house extension for our bed and breakfast suite biz. Woke up this morning at 5:30 and couldn't go back to sleep so I started preparing breakfast. So I was a cook (1) and dishwasher (2)!Then I had to drive one of the homestay student to school. I was a driver (3) then I had to post some mails and packages for our ebay biz. I was a mailman (4) Then, I had to get some groceries (5--what role is that?) I had to check our shop in the mall. I was a boss (6).My son needed me to help him with his assignments and project (7- I was a teacher). Went to garden and dug up some spots for the three plants that hubby took home a week ago and... | |

| | | The Happiness of the Katakuris | | Last night, my girlfriend and I watched a 2001 Japanese movie called "The Happiness of the Katakuris". We were expecting a pseudo-zombie flick, but got so much more than we bargained for!It was one of the funniest things either of us has ever seen. By the first five minute mark, we had to pause to wipe the tears of laughter out of our eyes, and I had to run and empty my bladder because I almost lost it, laughing so hard. This quirky family of four generations runs a bed-and-breakfast, but the guests keep dying for various reasons (none of which are the family's fault). They go to painstaking lengths to avoid bad business publicity, and hilarity ensues.Did I mention it's a musical?! | |
