| Are travel bags cheap in your country? | | I live in Chennai in India and here the travel bags are somewhat costly to buy and a good travel bag may cost anywhere between 400 and 8oo rupees. But there are even more costly bags. I was only referring to some ordinary travel bags. Are they costly too in your country? | |
| | What do you take along in your carry-on? | | I travel quite often to places in my country and overseas. Some of the flights I have to take are quite long, some flights ten hours non-stop. So, I have to make sure that I take along a few things in my carry-on baggage. One thing I have to have is my laptop computer so that I could continue working on my business papers. The other essential things I have to have are medicaments I take every day.
How about you myLot friends? What do you take along in your carry-on?

| | Am I a bad daughter now? | | Hi friends I just would like to hear your opinion. I moved to a smaller town four years ago when I got married. This town is a 3,5 hour journey from my hometown where I work (I commute each workday9 and where my mother still lives.
Mother has broken her hip Feb 1 and as an obedient daughter I packed an emergency bag and instantly moved to my hometown from Mon to Fri temporarily and we have a weekend marriage now.
My husband is very understanding and copes in an outstanding way with me coming home Friday after work and sleeping nearly the whole weekend as I am so exhausted. For the past four weeks I visited my mother every day in hospital after work and although she has been very demanding and critical with me all my life I even offered to take care of her from Mon to Wed now after work continuing that lifestyle out of a travel bag as long as its necessary. My mother is 85 and has slight to medium dementia as I think and she has done nothing but emotional abused me mainly the past two weeks in hospital. I am ciabetic and have a herniated disc and my diabetes is playing havoc with all that stress now.
I was so worn out after...

| It's four in the morning and MY GOSH THAT's EARLY | | Today I had to be up early to take my lovely wife to get her lift to the airport. Just after 4 am I rolled out of bed. My feet touched the carpet and I slowly levered myself upright. All around me was a scene of ordered chaos as last minute clothes and toiletries were thrown into her travel bag. Stumbling to the bathroom I saw that she had "borrowed" my wash bag - hope she enjoys the razers and after shave. She'll have sweet smelling, if slightly butch, legs anyway! Throwing my clothes on I stepped outside for the first time today and was hit by clear skies, the hint of the sun rising and a slight mist. As we drove we saw deer, Hares and rabbits, enough blackbirds to make several pies (Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie), cattle and sheep dozing and a general contentment on the land. I can't say that this early morning rise is going to be a regular feature of the P1ke's life, but it was wonderful to see. Do you get up very early ever? What do you see that makes you glad to be about at that hour? | |
| | Are you saving money these days? | | 1. Make your own lunch: It takes no time at all to get a bowl and a spoon. Take out some of those left overs. Place them in the bowl and add the top to it. Wrap your fork and spoon in a paper towel. Then ADD ti to your travel bag or even plastic shopping bag. Tie a knot around the bag. Your saving at least $5.00 doing..2. Stop snacking: Is there a way to get around the candy machine at work? Yes there is a great way around it. Every time I see one at a doctors office. I say to myself that change could buy more at the corner store. I then find that money goes back in my bag. I don't even want it when I pass a corner store. 3. Stop wasting food: Buying food that will spoil fast will cost more later. Your going to need to make a second trip to the store mid week. That is fine for milk and bread we need these. stop stocking up on fruits your going to waste in a few days.4. Reduce your heating billBy turning the temperature down in your house by just one degree you can save almost 10% on your heating bill. Also, Cheaper, and greener too.5. Give free giftsHow many times have you heard "it's the thought that counts? Well If your a true believer of this.. Your going... | |
